Botox vs. Dysport vs. Daxxify: How the Three Compare

July 28, 2026 · 7 min read

A plain-English breakdown of the three neuromodulators every patient in Tupelo is asking about, and how an injector decides which one to use.

Three products, three personalities

Botox is the benchmark, with the longest track record and the most predictable spread. Dysport tends to kick in a day or two sooner and diffuses a little wider, which suits large flat areas like the forehead. Daxxify is the newest of the three and lasts the longest, often close to six months.

The right answer is rarely the newest option. It is the product that fits your anatomy, your budget, and how often you actually want to sit in the chair.

How an injector actually chooses

The decision comes down to four inputs: which areas are being treated, how strong the muscle is, how you have responded to tox before, and how long you want the result to hold. A first-timer with light lines is a different plan than a patient with a decade of heavy glabellar movement.

Every plan should include the unit count, the price before the needle comes out, and a date for the two-week review.

What to ask before you book anywhere

Ask the price per unit, not the price per area, so you can compare studios honestly. Ask who you call if something looks uneven on day ten. Ask whether the two-week touch-up is included or billed separately.
